SENGOLE , A SCEPTRE OF INDIAN HERITAGE The tradition of Indian heritage giving Sengole, a symbol of sceptre s handed over at the time of power transfer in most of the states from olden time but overlooked in some last decades in independent India. This tradition is thousand years old giving a sceptre at the time of power transfer. It was given to Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru on 15th August 1947 at the time of Independence and kept in a Nehru galory of Anand Bhawan Museum in Allahabad now known as Prayagraj. In Mauryan period 300 BC,the proof of Saingole giving tradition is found in Indian history. The Sceptre is considered a divine symbol not only on India but in most of the countries of the world. The Sceptre was handed over to King Charles at the time of coronation recently in England.
