  Why People are Panic for My Rottweiler - Roxy Introduction I have a dog named Roxy, a Rottweiler by breed. I bred it when it was one month old. My son bought it from Dehradun on 16 August 2019. He trained it as per his knowledge and skill.  It was very small in size and cute in looking. So, every member of the family would take it in his/her lap while it preferred running on the floor and biting the wooden sofa. It growled when objected. Bugyals are alpine grasslands found in the higher places of the himalayas Notable Bugyals lie in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand,(India). The main Bugyals are:

These Bugyals are popular among trekkers and nature lovers for their natural beauty and the opportunity to experience the unique high-altitude ecosystems of the Himalayas. Namik Bugyal is one of the most attractive Bugyals in Himalayas foot hills.It is situated at the height of 11000 feet.

Namik Bugyal

Namik Bugyal, situated at an elevation of approximately 11000 feet, is an alpine grassland or Dhura in local dialect located in the Pithoragarh district of Kumaon region. It is popular for its graceful beauty, lush green pastures, and panoramic views of the near by Himalayan peaks. Namik Bugyal is also known for its proximity to the Namik Glacier, which is the source of the Ramganga River (East).

The area is well known among the trekkers and nature enthusiasts. You can have the catch eye to Nanda Devi, Trishule, and Panchachuli panoramic views. Nandadev is the second- highest peak in India. The trek to Namik Bugyal often includes passing through dense forests of oak and rhododendron, quaint villages, and various streams, offering a rich experience of the region's natural and cultural beauty.

Starting Point Munsyari:

What ever you belong to any part of India or abroad, you have to reach to  Munsyari, a beautiful hill station known as Little Kashmir of Uttarakhand. The journey to Namik Bugyal literally starts from Munsyari, known for its spectacular views of the Panchachuli Peaks.Munsyari, itself is a trekkers' paradise, offering many other trekking routes such as the Milam Glacier and Ralam Glacier treks. The small town serves as an excellent base camp, providing  necessary formalities and final of trekking.

How to Reach Namik Bugyal || the Trekking Route:

All the routes of trekking in higher Himalayan range are off routes and hard to trek. But the enthusiastic spirit overcomes all the hardships.The Namik Bugyal trek is moderately challenging and full of hardships, but the experienced trekkers make it suitable for the untrained trekkers too.The journey takes 7 to 8 days, covering a distance of 70 kilometres. The route includes small hamlets, ancient temples, and pristine streams, experiencing a cultural and historical dimension to adventure.

Day 1: Munsyari to Lilam:

The trek starts from Munsyari, with the the first stop taking you to the village of Lilam. The trail descends through lush green forests and crosses several rivulets. This initial stretch is relatively easy, allowing trekkers to acclimatise.and in the blooming  surroundings. 

DAY 2: Lilam to Bugdyar

From Lilam, the trail gradually ascends towards Bugdyar. This part of the trek involves navigating through dense forests and crossing the Gori Ganga River. The sound of cascading water and the sound of chirping of birds create a scerene, making the journey delightful.

Day 3: Bugdyar to Martoli

The third day's trek to Martoli, an ancient village with stone houses and  terraced fields. The village offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks and is an ideal spot to learn about the local culture and traditions.

Day 4: Martoli to Naspanpatti

From Martoli, the trail ascends to Naspanpatti, passing through verdant meadows and rhododendron forests. The gradual climb provides ample opportunities to spot wildlife and enjoy the beauty of mountains.

Day 5- Naspanpatti to Namik Bugyal

The fimal leg to Namik Bugyal is a rewarding experience. The trail opens up to expansive meadows, offering panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges. Namik Bugyal itself is a vast alpine meadow, blanketed  with wildflowers like defodils during the summer months. The freshand energetic environment and breathtaking views prove it a perfect and pure spot to camp and unwind

Namik Bugyal is more than just a trekking destination, it's a natural paradise that offers  a sense of peace and rejuvenation or overhauling. The lush green grassland is surrounded by towering peaks, and on a clear day, you can witness the magestic Nanda Devi, the second highest peak in India.The sight of the snow-capped mountains against the backdrop of a clear blue sky is a sight to behold.

Best Time to Visit:

The trekkers and  the mountain lovers are seen in off season too, but it is not safe in rainy season in Himalayan region. The Best Time to reach to Namik Bugyal trek is from May to June and September to October. During these months, the weather is pleasant, and the meadows are in full bloom. The clear skies offer clear views of the Himalayan peaks, making it an ideal time for photography and sightseeing. The monsoon season (July to August) should be avoided due to the risk of landslides and slippery trails.

Preparation and Tips

All the trekking exercise demand precautions, preparations, do's and don'ts and home work before moving to trekking in Himalayan belt. While the Namik Bugyal trek is moderately challenging, it requires a good level of physical fitness and preparation. I try to put some tips to ensure a safe and enjoyable trekking experience:

1- Physical Fitness: Make a time-table for morning walk and jogging regularly for atleast for six                                             months or the whole year.as it gives you activeness, energy and healthy                                                     lungs.Engage in regular cardiovascular exercises and strength training to                                                   buildup stamina and endurance.

2- Proper Gear:      Health is wealth, knowing this fact, why not you vibrant yourself.Invest in                                              good quality trekking gear, including sturdy hiking boots, a waterproof                                                      backpack or a  raincoat,warm clothing,and a sleeping bag.

3- Acclimatisation:   Spend a day or two in Munsyari to acclimatize to the altitude before starting                                             the trek.It would keep you away from altitude sickness.

4- Hydration:            Stay hydrated throughout  the trek to prevent altitude sickness. Drink sufficient                                        water and proper meal.

5- Local Guide:       Hiring a local guide is recommended as they are familiar with the terrain and                                           can provide valuable insights about the region, They are good in conversation to                                        vllagers en route in local dialects. 

6- Leave No Trace: Practice responsible trekking by not littering and respecting the natural                                                      environment. Do remember, the natural beauty of Namik Bugyal remains                                                  unspoiled for future generation.
