 C.S.K.FIRING AGAINST GUJRAT TITANS IN IPL 24

C.SK. scored 206/6 against Gujrat Titans as Gujrat Titans won the toss and invited CSK for batting first. The two teams, who played IPL final 2023, were once again fighting in IPL24 for the first match in Chhepak Stadium, Chennai.The Chennai Superking won its fifth trophy beating Gujrat Titans. This year in its first match beating Royal Challengers Bangalore, made a good start. CSK scored 155 runs in 15 oversin its home ground. Rachin Ravindra (46/20), Ruturaj Gayakwad (46/ 36) and shibam Dube continued hitting GJ balls easily scored 51 in 23 balls. Ajinkya Rahane 12, Dary Mitchel 24 (not out), Sameer Rizvi 14, Ravindra Jadeja 7. Thus the total score of Chennai Superking was 206/6 in 20 overs. MS Dhoni, Deepak Chahar, Tushar Deshpandey and Mustatizur Rahman didn't have batting opportunity.

Gujrat Titans Response to CSK.

In its first match beat Mumbai Indians and in second match Subhman Gill winning the toss called CSK for batting first. Ruturaj had a narrow escape in the very first over when Sai Kishor left the catch at first slip  and Ruturaj duly accepted the gift that was handed to him. At the other end Ravindra scored at a rapid pace serving a gala feast to CSK.In the first over CSK got only 2 runs, but in second over Rachin, the opening batsman in place of Devane Convey hit 1 sixer and 1 boundary in Umesh Yadav bowling. Rachin who was a plyer valued 1.5 crore in IPL bid, reached the score in 58 at the end of 5 overs.Umesh Yadav gave 27bruns in 2 over.CSK added 45 runs in 3 over in which 42 run from Rachin' bat and 13 from Ruturaj' bat.

Shivam Dubey raced his fifty in 22 balls, the second quickest in this edition of the IPL. The old record for the quickest fifty goes to Andre Russel (64 off 25) had taken only 20 balls to reach the milestone for KKRvs SRH in Kolkata on march 23.  Shivam Dubey's quickest fifty came off 20 balls during his innings of 50 off 21 balls against KKR in Kolkata on April 23, 2023. Shivam Dubey's first  at Chepauk is his seventh in the IPL - 6 for CSK and 1 for RR. Left hander Dubey , too left a mark in the middle after beginning his knock with successive sixes off left - arm spinner Sai Kishore. Ruturaj Gaikwad's run aggregate at an average of 58.33, including four fifties in six innings, at a strike rate of 144.03 is the highest by any batter vs Gujrat Titans in the IPL. CSK couldn't have asked for a better start as Ruturaj was dropped  on one by  R. Sai Kishore off Azmatullah Omarzai's opening over.Openers Rachin Ravindra and Ruturaj Gaikwad made contrasting yet significant knocks against Gujrat Titans at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. CSK posted their first total of 200- plus  vs Gujrat Titans in the IPL , making it better the 178/7 in Ahmedabad on March 31, 2023.
