The Vibrant Flora and Fauna of the Himalayan Region

The Himalayan region near Hanumanchatti, Phoolchatti and Jankichatti wears lush green vegetation with tall trees, dense forests, the gurgling river Yamuna and rocks hanging from their parental hills, The beauty of this area fulfills us of the profound  connection between nature and spirituality. As the dawn breaks, most of the pilgrims staying at Janki chatti set on journey to Yamunotridham .listening and repeating the slogans and jai ghosh of lord Shiva, ma Yamunotri and sanatan dharm ki jai.The trail though challenging, gifts the pilgrims with awe- inspiring and motivating vistas of snow- capped peaks and beautiful and charming valleys. The sound of the Yamuna river, ever-flowing andresolute accompanies us on our pilgrimage. At every turn, we encounter pilgrims from all walks of life, united by their unwavering faith in the Godess Yamuna.

Yamunotri: Nature Echoes Divinity

Yamunotri is a place where the unbound beauty of nature speaks with the spiritual essence  of Hinduism and the Sanatana Dharama (the religion for all) The temple dedicated to Goddess Yamuna stands tall, it's architecture reflecting grace and grandeur of the mountains that cradle it.The natural hot springs, known as Surya Kund and Jamuna Bai kund offer a soothing respite  to weary souls, their healing properties believed to wash away impurities. The Jamuna Bai Kund is specially for taking adip and bathing for the pilgrims. The temperature of Surya Kund is very high at near about boiling point.

The Pandas of Yamunotri (The Worshipping Personals)

The nice and helpful Pandas of Yamunotri live in the village of Kharsali near Janki Chatti, on the other bank of Yamuna, the home of Asit Muni, the saint. It is said that Asit Muni used to worship Goddess Yamunotri taking abathe in Ganga andYamuna daily covering a long distance for Gangotri. When he became old and unable to go Gangotri for a bathe in Ganga, a stream of Ganga appeared before him due to his dedication and devotion for Godess Yamuna.

The Best Season for the Journey to Yamunotri //Chardham Yatra

The best season for Yamunotri as well as Chardham Yatra is May- June in summer and Mid- Sepetember to October in autumn. It bears moderate climate and literally warm and without rain. All the Dhams  are opened for a certain period about 6-7 months, then the Gods and Godesses shift to temples in the  safe valleys where the prayer is offered. In the winter season the Doors of the temples are closed as these shrines situated at the height of about 3100 to 4000 meters height in Himalayan range. Almost these shrines are covered with snow.

Yamunotri- The Origin of the River Yamuna

The Chardham Yatra begins from Yamunotridham, where the Yamuna River originates. The trek to Yamunotri is a testament to one's devotion, as pilgrims nevigate rocky paths and icy streams. The highlight of this  journey is the Yamunotri temple, a structure adorned with intricate carvings and ancient scriptures. Devotees, the pilgrims offer prayers to Goddess Yamuna, seeking her blessings for purity and prosperity. The glaciers abounds the peaks of the mountainsof Kalind Parvat.L ord Parashuram also meditated here and got the blessings and power.

Conclusion:

Thus, the journey of Yamunotri is over. If the pilgrims move to the second shrine of Chardham, is Gangotri, 228 km away from this point. Pilgrims coming from Yamunotri and going to Gangotri  can proceed to Uttarkashi without going to  Dharasu, they can take a turn at the junction 2 km before Dharasu Chatti. While on Gangotri route enjoy the villages and urban towns, Uttarkashi, Gangori, Maneri, Bhatwari,  Gangani, Sukhi, Jhala, Harsil, Lnka, Bhairon Ghati, then Bhairav Ghati to Gangotri. The memories, the lessons  and the spiritual awakening  gained from Yamunotri trip  will forever be remained in our hearts and minds. As, we leave this sacred land , we carry with us  a newfound sense of purpose , a deeper connection to nature  and a strengthened faith in the divine. I appreciate the people coming from European states , USA and other parts of the world who travelled along with us to Yamunotri.
